DAYS 9 & 10: Beginning to Remember--Retreat at Bracciano
Updated: Nov 30, 2019
The pilgrimage will conclude at Bracciano, a place of beauty and peace. This is another unique aspect of the 2020 pilgrimage: we will spend the last two days together in Bracciano where we will begin to remember our experiences together. Often when a retreat, pilgrimage, or excursion ends, we move back to our ordinary lives too quickly, and so the graces, insights, and experiences may get lost.
These two days together in Bracciano (at the Community’s Villagio Betania) will provide an opportunity to allow our experience to grow deeper within us through prayer, Eucharistic Adoration, Confession, Mass, reflection, as well as shared experiences and resolutions. There will also be an opportunity to walk along the beautiful Bracciano Lake and tour the ancient castle. Here we will begin to remember (re-corde = recall with the heart) the wonders of the Lord so as to go back to our school communities and families renewed and transformed.
“[T]he end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.” ~ T.S. Eliot
